VIT Mauritius Signs Strategic MoU with Institution of Engineers to Strengthen Engineering Education

VIT Mauritius has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institution of Engineers Mauritius (IEM) on 17 December 2025. The MoU was signed by Er. Chandn Singh Chutoori, President of IEM, and Dr. Vijayakumar Chandrasekhar, CEO & Vice-Chancellor (i/c), VIT Mauritius.

This collaboration aims to enhance the quality, structure, and assessment of engineering programmes at VIT Mauritius by aligning them with internationally recognized standards, particularly those outlined under the Washington Accord. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, capacity building, innovation-driven learning, and the development of industry-ready graduates, contributing to a sustainable and high-quality engineering education ecosystem in Mauritius.
